Partenfeld (colloquially: Baddnfelld ) is a district of the Thurnau market in the Upper Franconian district of Kulmbach .

geography

The hamlet is located on the Friesenbach , which flows a little further east as a left tributary into the Red Main , and is surrounded by arable land and grassland. To the north of Partenfeld there is a tree that has been recognized as a natural monument , to the west of the place the Lehringsberg ( 374  m above sea level ) rises . The district road KU 5 leads past the Hammerhaus to Lanzenreuth (0.7 km northeast) or past Kemeritz to Hutschdorf (2 km southwest). A community road leads to Rottlersreuth (0.9 km south).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1321 as "Battenveld". The place name means the field of the Batto. The personal name Batto was probably given to the founder of the settlement. The current form was created in 1695 due to a typographical error .

At the end of the 18th century, Partenfeld consisted of 4 properties. The high court was exercised by the Bavarian Bailiwick of Kulmbach . The rulership of the village and community was disputed between the box office Kulmbach and the Giech office in Thurnau . Landlords the box office Kulmbach were (1 Schafhof, 1 Tropfgütlein ) and the Office Thurnau (1 barren knight's seat with cattle house and cellar, 2 Söldengütlein ).

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the justice and chamber office Kulmbach . With the community edict, Partenfeld was assigned to the Hutschdorf tax district in 1811 and the Hutschdorf rural community in 1812 . On January 1, 1972, Partenfeld was incorporated into the Thurnau market as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
