Hörlinreuth is a district in Markt Thurnau in the district of Kulmbach .
geography
The hamlet is located on a high plateau consisting of arable land and grassland, which is surrounded on all sides by forest. In the west the forest area is called Schützenholz. A community road leads to State Road 2189 at Neuwirthshaus (1 km south) or to Katzenlohe (0.4 km north).
history
In 1292 the place was first mentioned as "Herlangeruth", in 1307 as "Erlangenreuth". The place name means clearing on a grassy field overgrown with alders. The place was under the Förtsch von Thurnau . In 1307 it was pledged to the Burgraviate of Nuremberg , but this soon had to be reversed due to protests by the Bamberg Bishop Wulfing , since the bishopric of Bamberg was the feudal lordship . When the Förtsch family died out in 1565, their claims to the von Giech family fell .
Towards the end of the 18th century, Hörlinreuth consisted of 5 properties (1 courtyard, 1 three-quarter courtyard, 1 quarter courtyard, 2 Sölden ). The Giech'sche Amt Thurnau exercised the high court , the village and community rulership as well as the lordship over all properties .
From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the patrimonial court of Thurnau . With the community edict, Hörlinreuth was assigned to the tax district of Thurnau in 1812 and to the rural community of Limmersdorf in 1818 . On May 1, 1978, this was incorporated into the Thurnau market as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
