Rottlersreuth (colloquially: O rd lesraid ) is a district of the Thurnau market in the Upper Franconian district of Kulmbach .

geography

Rottlersreuth is a village with a rural character. It is located about six kilometers northeast of Thurnau. From Eichbergs ( 377  m above sea level ), on whose plateau the village is located, you have a view down into the Rotmaintal . A communal road leads to Partenfeld to the KU 5 district road (0.9 km north) or Hutschdorf (1.5 km south-west).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1333 as “Reut”. In 1428 the place was called "Radlachsrewt", in 1466 "Ratlesrewt" and in 1641 "Rottlaßreuth". The place name means for clearing the Ratlach. With the personal name Ratlach the founder of the settlement was probably given.

Towards the end of the 18th century, Rottlersreuth consisted of 8 properties. The high court was exercised by the Bavarian Bailiwick of Kulmbach . The village and township government had the box office Kulmbach held. The landlords were the box office Kulmbach (3 Söldengütlein ), the monastery office Kulmbach (2 courtyards, 1 Söldengut, 1 Söldengütlein) and the superintendentur Kulmbach (1 yard).

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the justice and chamber office Kulmbach . With the community edict, Rottlersreuth was assigned to the Hutschdorf tax district in 1811 and the Hutschdorf rural community in 1812 . On January 1, 1972, Rottlersreuth was incorporated into the Thurnau market as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

The former cold store in the middle of the village was rebuilt in 2010 as "Weiherstübla", a meeting place for young and old. The village pond, also in the village center, is used as a swimming pond in summer and for ice skating in winter.

monument

The old village fountain with a pull-wheel from the previous century is unique in the Kulmbach district.
