Kemeritz (colloquially: Kemmeds ) is a district of the Thurnau market in the Upper Franconian district of Kulmbach .
geography
The village is on the left bank of the Friesenbach and is largely surrounded by arable land and grassland. The terrain rises on all sides except in the east. In the northeast the corridor is called Leite . The KU 5 district road leads to Partenfeld (1.2 km northeast) or Hutschdorf (0.9 km southwest). A community connecting road leads to a community connecting road (0.3 km west), which runs south to Hutschdorf to KU 5 and north to Windischenhaig .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1137 as "Chemerice". The place name is based on Kamerica ( Slav. N. Pl. For chambers or in the figurative sense chamber property). The place has the character of a stately planned settlement of the 10th / 11th. Century. A (forced) settlement of Wends can be assumed.
At the end of the 18th century, Kemeritz consisted of 11 properties. The high court was exercised by the Bavarian Bailiwick of Kulmbach . The village and township government had the box office Kulmbach held. The landlords were the Kastenamt Kulmbach (1 courtyard, 1 Halbhof, 1 Söldengut , 1 Söldengütlein, 1 Tropfgütlein , 1 Tropfhaus), the Kanzleilehen (1 Halbgütlein, 1 Söldengut, 1 Söldengütlein), the Bambergian Langheimer Amtshof (1 courtyard) and the Schmeilsdorf manor (1 dropper).
From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the justice and chamber office Kulmbach . With the community edict, Kemeritz was assigned to the Hutschdorf tax district in 1811 and the Hutschdorf rural community in 1812 . On January 1, 1972, Kemeritz was incorporated into the Thurnau market as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
