Kröglitzen is a part of the Thurnau market in the Kulmbach district .

geography

The wasteland lies at the foot of the wooded Zaunberg hill ( 556 m above sea level , 0.5 km southwest). A service road leads to the KU 7 district road (0.4 km northwest), which runs south to Kleetzhöfe and north past Poppenleithen to junction 22 of the A 70 .

history

The place was first mentioned in the Förtsch interest book from 1526 as "Kroglitzen". The original field name is based on the professional or family name Krogler (= Krugmacher).

Towards the end of the 18th century there was a property in Kröglitzen. The Giech'sche Amt Thurnau exercised the high court and the lordship over the estate .

From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the patrimonial court of Thurnau . With the community edict, Kröglitzen was assigned to the tax district of Limmersdorf in 1812 and to the rural community of Berndorf in 1818 . In 1930 Kröglitzen was transferred to Limmersdorf. On May 1, 1978, the place was incorporated into the Thurnau market as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
