Putzenstein (colloquially: budschnschdāⁿ ) is a district of the Thurnau market in the district of Kulmbach .

geography

Immediately southeast of the wasteland is the Köhlstatt forest area, and immediately northeast is the stone spruce forest area. Approx. The Höhgraben flows 200 m to the west and the Putzensteingraben approx. 200 m to the east. Both flow together to form the Rothbach, a left tributary of the Reuthbach, which flows into the Red Main on the left . Two residential roads lead immediately west to the BT 16 / KU 17 district road , which runs to Felkendorf (0.8 km northwest) and Pleofen (1.5 km southeast).

history

Putzenstein was first mentioned in a document in 1297 as "curia steinbuz". The basic word of the place name is butze ( mhd. For lumps, chunks). The Förtsch von Thurnau were entitled to the high court and manorial rule . The manorial rights over "Steinbozech" were transferred to the Langheim monastery in 1304 and 1311 by exchanging or paying a loan . Little is known about their whereabouts. The next mention by name was not made until 1699 in a contract card as "Putzenstein". At this time the place already belonged to the Fraisch district of the Counts of Giech . In 1729 a forester's house was built by the margravial forester at Pleofen . In 1733 the place belonged to the Realgemeinde Pleofen, the hereditary interest and the tithe went to the caste and city bailiff's office in Bayreuth .

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office of Bayreuth . With the community edict, Putzenstein was assigned to the Busbach tax district in 1811 and to the Busbach rural community in 1812 . As a result of the second community edict (1818), the place was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community Neustädtlein am Forst . In 1899 the place was given to the municipality of Felkendorf . On April 1, 1971, this was incorporated into the municipality of Limmersdorf as part of the regional reform in Bavaria , which in turn was incorporated into the Thurnau market on May 1, 1978.
