history

The place was first mentioned in the land register of the Burggravial Office of Bayreuth from 1398 as "Pleofen". At this time, the office was subordinate to 4 farms and 1 Sölde , the parish Trumsdorf 1 Widemgut . The defining word of the place name is blaejen ( mhd. For to blow) and thus describes a melting furnace. According to the land register of the now margravial office of Bayreuth from 1421, the Förtsch von Thurnau received the 4 farms as margravial fiefdom. When this noble family died out in 1593, the lords of Giech received the fiefdom. In 1702 the property of the Giech in "Pleehoffen" (at that time 1 courtyard, 1 half courtyard, 2 three-quarter courtyards, 2 quarter courtyards) was exchanged with the margraviate of Brandenburg-Bayreuth . In addition to the former Giech property complex, there were other properties. In 1727 Pleofen with Heisenstein consisted of a total of 11 properties (1 courtyard, 5 half courtyards, 1 quarter courtyard, 2 Sölden , 1 small house and 1 grinding mill). The place was located in the Fraisch district of the Bayreuth City Bailiff's Office . The village and community rulership as well as the lordship over all properties was held by the caste and municipal bailiff's office in Bayreuth . Towards the end of the 18th century there were 14 properties (1 grinding mill, 1 courtyard, 4 half courtyards, 3 quarter courtyards, 3 Sölden, 1 house, 1 drip house ).

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office of Bayreuth . With the community edict, Pleofen was assigned to the Busbach tax district in 1811 and the Busbach rural community in 1812 . As a result of the second community edict (1818), the place was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community Neustädtlein am Forst . On July 1, 1972, Heisenstein was incorporated into the municipality of Eckersdorf as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
