Lahm is part of the municipality of Eckersdorf in the Bayreuth district in Upper Franconia .

geography

The Grünbach rises directly to the east of the village and joins the Zigeunergraben and Ausbach to form the Hegnenbach. The latter is a right tributary of the Röttelbach, a left tributary of the Red Main . Approx. 1 km to the west is the wooded Vogelherd hill ( 575  m above sea level ). There is an atonement cross there. The district road BT 16 leads to the B 22 near Eschen (0.8 km south) or to Neustädtlein am Forst (1.3 km north).

history

As a result of the community edict, Lahm was assigned to the rural community of Eschen in 1811 . On May 1, 1978 this was incorporated into the municipality of Eckersdorf as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
