Neustädtlein am Forst (colloquially: naischdēdla ) is a district of the municipality of Eckersdorf in the district of Bayreuth in Upper Franconia ( Bavaria ).

geography

The Zigeunergraben flows through the parish village and joins the Grünbach and Ausbach to form the Hegnenbach. The latter is a right tributary of the Röttelbach, a left tributary of the Red Main . 1.5 kilometers northwest of the village is the 473  m above sea level. NHN high Horlachen, in the east borders the forest of Neustädtlein . The district road BT 16 leads past Simmelbuch to Pleofen (2.3 km northwest) and Lahm (1.4 km south).

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1224. At this time "Nuenstat" belonged to the noble free ministerial family of the Walpoten . In 1285 Friedrich called Waltbote ceded his rights to the Nuremberg burgrave Friedrich via “Nivenstat” . The place was in the Fraisch district of the Burggräfliche Amt Bayreuth and in their legal successor the Amtshauptmannschaft Bayreuth .

From 1437 the lords of Lüchau were the landlords in Neustädtlein. Since the 15th century there has been a church in the village with the patronage of John the Baptist .

Margrave Georg Wilhelm had a hunting lodge built in Neustädtlein over the foundation walls of a medieval aristocratic residence .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 30 properties in Neustädtlein am Forst. The High Court was exercised by the Bayreuth City Bailiwick . The village and township government had the Hofkastenamt Bayreuth held. The manorial power was in the hands of Bavarian authorities:

There was also 1 castle, 1 church, 1 rectory and 1 schoolhouse.

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office of Bayreuth . With the community edict , Neustädtlein was assigned to the Busbach tax district formed in 1811 and the Busbach rural community formed in 1812 . With the second community edict of 1818 , the rural community Neustädtlein was formed, to which the places Heisenstein , Pleofen , Putzenstein and Simmelbuch belonged. It was subject to the Bayreuth Regional Court in administration and jurisdiction and the Bayreuth Rent Office for financial administration . In 1852 the community was transferred to the newly formed Thurnau Regional Court , and finally to the Thurnau Rent Office in 1856 ( renamed Thurnau Tax Office in 1919 ). From 1862 Neustädtlein was administered by the Kulmbach District Office (renamed the Kulmbach District in 1939 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Thurnau until 1879, from 1879 district court of Thurnau . At that time, Waldhütte was founded in the municipality. In 1899 Putzenstein was assigned to Felkendorf . In 1929 jurisdiction was taken over by the Bayreuth District Court and in 1930 financial management by the Bayreuth Tax Office . In 1961 the municipality had an area of ​​7.177 km².

On July 1, 1972, Neustädtlein am Forst was incorporated into the municipality of Eckersdorf as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

Margrave Christian introduced the potato towards the end of his reign, which was first used as fodder in the principality . Potato dumplings can be found for the first time in 1707 in Neustädtlein, where they were served at a topping-out ceremony .
