Forst ( listen ? / I ) is a district of the municipality Eckersdorf in the district of Bayreuth in Upper Franconia ( Bavaria ). Audio file / audio sample

geography

Approx. The Schmatzerhöhe corridor is 0.5 kilometers east of the village, and the Luderecke forest area is immediately to the west. The place now forms a closed settlement with Donndorf in the south. A community road leads to Donndorf to the B 22 (0.9 km south-east) or to the district road BT 14 / BTs 14 (0.5 km north-west), which leads to Eckersdorf on the B 22 (1.4 km south) or to Dörnhof ( 1.4 km north).

history

At the end of the 18th century, the nickname " baking ovens" came up for the place because bread had to be baked in Forst for the soldiers of the nearby military camp Schanz .

The place has belonged to the political municipality of Eckersdorf since the municipal edict in the 19th century.
