Waldhütte is a district of the municipality of Eckersdorf in the Bayreuth district in Upper Franconia ( Bavaria ).

geography

The desert lies in the middle of the forest of Neustädtlein . The Kornbach rises about half a kilometer east, a left tributary of the Dühlbach, which in turn is a left tributary of the Red Main . Agricultural roads lead to Neustädtlein on the district road BT 16 (1.6 km southwest), to Oberwaiz (3.2 km south), to the district road BT 14 near Heinersreuth (4.3 km east) and past the Tauberhof to Muckenreuth on the state road 2189 ( 5 km northeast).

history

The forest hut was built in 1750 as a margravial forester's house.

With the community edict, Waldhütte was assigned to the Busbach tax district in 1811 and the Busbach rural community in 1812 . As a result of the second community edict (1818), the place was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community Neustädtlein am Forst . On July 1, 1972, this was incorporated into the municipality of Eckersdorf as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

Waldhütte has been used as a restaurant for some time. A general renovation took place from 2013 to 2016.
