District court Thurnau
The District Court of Thurnau was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1929 and was based in Thurnau in Upper Franconia .

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was established in Thurnau, whose districts consisted of the communities Alladorf , Azendorf , Berndorf , Buchau , Döllnitz , Felkendorf , Heubsch , Hutschdorf , Kasendorf , Katschenreuth , Langenstadt , Limmersdorf , Lopp , Menchau , Muckenreuth , Neuenreuth am Main , Neustädtlein am Forst , Peesten , Proß , Sanspareil , Schirradorf , Tannfeld , Thurnau and Willmersreuth of the preceding district court of Thurnau . The next higher instance was the Bayreuth Regional Court .
With effect from October 1, 1929, the Thurnau District Court was repealed and its district was divided as follows:
- Felkendorf, Limmersdorf, Muckenreuth, Neuenreuth and Neustädtlein were assigned to the Bayreuth District Court ,
- Alladorf and Sanspareil came to the Hollfeld district court and
- Azendorf, Berndorf, Buchau, Döllnitz, Heubsch, Hutschdorf, Kasendorf, Katschenreuth, Langenstadt, Lopp, Menchau, Peesten, Proß, Schirradorf, Tannfeld, Thurnau and Willmersreuth were affiliated to the Kulmbach District Court .
