Langenstadt (colloquially: Langaschdōd ) is a district of the municipality of Neudrossenfeld in the district of Kulmbach in Upper Franconia .

geography

The parish village is on the left bank of the Red Main and is surrounded by arable land and grassland. In the west is the Reutersberg hill, in the south the Riedberg. The district road KU 16 leads past Unterlettenrangen to Dreschen (2.4 km north) or to state road 2189 near Neuenreuth am Main (1.6 km south-east).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1216 as "Langenstat". Otto Herzog von Meranien donated his allod to the Langheim monastery in the said place . The place name means the long place. This corresponds to the layout of the settlement as a street village .

At the end of the 18th century, Langenstadt consisted of 41 properties. The high court was exercised by the Bavarian Bailiwick of Kulmbach . The village and township government had the bambergische Langheimer Amtshof held. Were landlords

  • the Langheimer Amtshof (1 inn, 1 mill 14 yards, 1 Höflein, 1 Halbhöflein, 3 freight, 1 undeveloped Good, 1 Gütlein, 2 Sölden goods , 8 Sölden, 1 Tropfgut , 4 Tropfgütlein, 1 Häuslein)
  • the chaplaincy Creußen (1 Tropfhofstatt),
  • the parish of Neudrossenfeld (1 forge).

The properties of the two last-named landlords were indirectly subordinate to the Kulmbach City Bailiff in the Vogtei and to the Kulmbach caste office in the tax area . In addition to the property there was also 1 church and 1 schoolhouse.

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the justice and chamber office Kulmbach . With the community edict , Langenstadt was assigned to the Hutschdorf tax district in 1811 and the Hutschdorf rural community in 1812 . With the second community edict (1818) the rural community Langenstadt was formed, to which the place Igelsreuth still belonged. In administration and jurisdiction, it was subordinate to the Kulmbach Regional Court and in financial administration to the Kulmbach Rent Office . In 1852 Hutschdorf was transferred to the Thurnau Regional Court and the Thurnau Rent Office ( renamed the Thurnau Tax Office in 1919 ). From 1862 Langenstadt was administered by the Kulmbach District Office (renamed the Kulmbach District in 1939 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Thurnau until 1879, from 1879 district court of Thurnau . In 1929 jurisdiction was taken over by the Kulmbach District Court and the financial administration by the Kulmbach Tax Office . The municipality had an area of 4.622 km².

On 1 January 1972, the municipality Long city was in the course of administrative reform in Bavaria after Leuchau incorporated. On July 1, 1976, the community was dissolved and Langenstadt with Igelsreuth was incorporated into Neudrossenfeld.
