The district court of Kulmbach was a Bavarian district court of the older order that existed from 1812 to 1879 and was based in Kulmbach in what is now the district of Kulmbach . In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

In 1812 the district court of Kulmbach was established in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria . After the establishment of the Kingdom of Bavaria, this was added to the Mainkreis , whose capital was Bamberg .

The approximately 15 × 20 m building is located at 33 Obere Stadt Street . It is just 50 m to the west, below the Petrikirche , at an altitude of 317  m above sea level. NN .

description

The building was built between 1561 and 1563 as a former margravial chancellery. The two-storey secular building was built by Caspar Vischer and built over even older underground settlement parts of Kulmbach. The building is a listed building .
