Igelsreuth (colloquial: ri chschdrōbl or īglsrād ) is a district of the municipality of Neudrossenfeld in the district of Kulmbach in Upper Franconia .

geography

The wasteland is surrounded by arable land and grassland. The A 70 touches the town in the southeast . There is a photovoltaic system along the motorway . An agricultural traffic route leads to Unterlettenrangen to the district road KU 16 (1.4 km to the west).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1284 as "Igelsgeruot". The Count of Orlamunde gave his allod to the Langheim monastery in the said place . The place name means to clear the Igil ( diminutive form of Igo). With the personal name Igil the founder of the settlement was probably given. The colloquial form refers to the farm owner Strobel.

At the end of the 18th century Igelsreuth consisted of one property. The high court was exercised by the Bavarian Bailiwick of Kulmbach . The Langheimer Amtshof in Bamberg held the manorial rule over the court .

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the justice and chamber office Kulmbach . With the community edict, Igelsreuth was assigned to the Hutschdorf tax district in 1811 and the Hutschdorf rural community in 1812 . With the second community edict (1818) it was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community Langenstadt .

On January 1, 1972 Igelsreuth was incorporated in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria with Langenstadt to Leuchau . On July 1, 1976, this community was dissolved and Igelsreuth was incorporated into Neudrossenfeld.
