Kulmbach District Court
The district court of Kulmbach is one of 73 district courts in Bavaria and a court of ordinary jurisdiction . The head office is located at 10 Kohlenbachstrasse in Kulmbach .
history
The neo-baroque judicial building was occupied on July 1, 1901. The size and style were not typical for the area. The royal authority particularly emphasized the flight of stairs in front of the building . The entrance area decorated with stucco as well as the wooden staircase with wrought iron ornamental railing also contributed to the admiration of the building. Due to the forward-looking planning , there was no shortage of space for almost 100 years. The integration of the former Thurnau District Court in 1929 and the Stadtsteinach District Court in 1973 could be compensated for without any problems. Space problems that arose were eliminated by the attic extension in 1999/2000.
Between 1882 and 1901 the rent office and district court were located in Rentamtsgäßchen 2. Since the district court, which was located on the second floor, had to deal with more and more tasks and the legal requirement to set up a land registry could not be met due to lack of space, a new building or an extension was built essential.
