history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1724 as the “Neues Wirtshaus”. It is probably an expansion settlement. The property was on the border with the Thurnau rulership .

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Neuwirthshaus belonged to Forstleithen . The Kulmbach caste office was the landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth, Neuwirthshaus received the number 7 of Forstleithen when the house numbers were assigned.

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Sanspareil . With the community edict, Neuwirthshaus was assigned to the Limmersdorf tax district in 1812 and to the provisional rural community of Forstleithen in 1818 . In 1819 they were incorporated into the rural community of Kasendorf , and in 1856 the places were transferred to the rural community of Limmersdorf. On May 1, 1978, this was incorporated into the Thurnau market as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
