The castle site Alter Schloßberg is the ruins of a motte (tower hill castle) protected as a ground monument at 325  m above sea level. NN am Krebsbach in the Teichwolframsdorf district of the Mohlsdorf-Teichwolframsdorf community in the Greiz district ( Thuringia ).

The structural remains of the small castle are on a plot of land on Ronneburger Strasse . The place was by the upper mill, now the location of the local fire department.

The remains of the wall and the foundations of a tower (?), Which were still in existence in the 19th century, were removed by the owners at the time. They were located on a small hill 6 m high, which has still been preserved, once protected by a pond that was also preserved at the lower reaches of a right tributary to the Krebsbach in the current locality.

The nearby, northeastern slope formed the main attack side and was fortified by an artificial trench in front of the pond. The local manor, located a short distance west of the castle, was divided between two heirs by 1400 at the latest.

The place Teichwolframsdorf was first mentioned in 1278 as Wolframsdorf. The addition pond (a dialect variant of the first name Tycho ) was probably a root name of the clan of the local founder Wolfram and is documented in a document in 1411 as "our faithful pond sat in Wolfframsdorff", and thus does not refer to the water located on the outskirts next to the castle site.
