Dudenroth is a village in the Hunsrück and, since the community reform in the early 1970s, has been the smallest part of the Braunshorn community in the Rhein-Hunsrück district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

Dudenroth is located in a hollow in the central Hunsrück, directly on the Schinderhannes cycle path .

history

The independent municipality of Dudenroth was incorporated into Braunshorn on March 17, 1974.

Mayor

With Frank Blatt, the district of Dudenroth has its own mayor. In the local elections on May 26, 2019 , no candidate ran, he was elected by the Braunshorn local council on June 24, 2019.

Attractions

In the southwest of Dudenroth, on the Schinderhannes cycle path, there are the remains of a medieval hilltop castle ( Motte ), the Dudenrother Schanze .
