Restorf is a district of the municipality of Höhbeck in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .
location
The village lies between the Elbe , which flows north, and the B 493, which runs south . The Restorfer See extends on the eastern edge of the village . The Seege , a left tributary of the Elbe, flows south . On a slight elevation, on which the church stands, is the castle stables of Castle Restorf , which was a medieval moth .
history
On July 1, 1972, Restorf was incorporated into the municipality of Höhbeck.
church
The Evangelical Church of St. Johannis is a rectangular brick building . The half-timbered west tower dates from 1847. The core of the masonry and the ogival portals on the north and south sides are late Gothic . The conversion to a baroque hall church with a pulpit altar took place in 1740.
