The Tower Hill Herrnberchtheim is an Outbound medieval motte (moth) on the southeastern outskirts of Herrnberchtheim , a modern district of the market town Ippesheim in the Middle Franconian district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Bavaria .

In the late Middle Ages, the lower nobility from Enheim, who are known by many names (“Grumat”, “Ubel”, “Meyenberg” etc.) sat on a moated castle in Herrnberchtheim. According to the very precise Bavarian cadastral plan from around 1830, which shows a fairly square, approx. 40/50 meter long and wide "ruin" in the middle of an extensive meadow area, the former moat, the Herrnberchtheim facility was a rather small "water house" of the knightly nobility. The castle and the local lordship in Herrnberchtheim probably came from the Enheim to the Lords of Fronhofen and the Lords of Wenkheim in the 15th century through inheritance, perhaps also through purchase. Both noble families sold their property around 1600 to the imperial city of Windsheim, which they sold to the Margraviate of Ansbach at the end of the 17th century. Since then the village has belonged to the Zollern Oberamt Uffenheim and shared its fortunes. The place was probably still strongly split up in manorial terms - hence the place name Herren-Berchtheim, which was attested early on, i.e. place of several or many lords .

The location of the former castle can be assumed to be south of the village, where several large old oaks stand on a small pile of earth - easily visible from the bypass.

The tower hill is still preserved from the former moth enclosure .
