The Postal Birnbaum is an Outbound early medieval hilltop castle ( Wallburg ) at 335  m above sea level. NHN on the so-called "Burgstall" between Kästel and Birnbaum , today's districts of the municipality of Gerhardshofen in the Middle Franconian district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Bavaria .

Wall and moat remains from the former castle complex have been preserved.
