The castle Illeshiem is an Outbound medieval moated castle south near the Aisch on the northwestern outskirts of Illesheim in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Bavaria .
The square moat has been preserved from the von Esel family's former water castle on a slightly elevated plateau .
