The Sche-Phoksundo National Park ( Nepali शे-फोकसुण्डो She-Phoksundo , English Shey Phoksundo ) is the largest and most remote national park in Nepal and the only national park in the country north of the main Himalayan ridge.

It was founded in 1984, has an area of ​​3555 km² and extends over the districts of Dolpa and Mugu in the north-west of the country at an altitude between 2130 and 6883  m . The park’s trademark and namesake is Lake Phoksundo at an altitude of 3612  m .

Approx. 9000 people live in the park in smaller villages. The park is known as a retreat for the particularly endangered snow leopard .
