The Postal Göttelhof is an Outbound medieval hilltop castle about 550 meters west of Göttelhof , a modern district of the municipality Gerhardshofen in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Bavaria .

The former castle complex was at an altitude of 345  m above sea level. NN , about 30 meters above the south and north running source branches of the Altenbuchbach , a right tributary of the Aisch . As early as 1800 nothing was visible on the surface; the Bavarian original cadastre only mentions a castle stable without a precise location. The place name was spelled Gödlhof at that time .

The extent to which there is a connection between the origin of the place name and Henning Göde , who was active in Lutheran times , has not yet been fully researched. However, the field names Pfaffenholz and Pfaffenweiher and a vineyard near Gödlhof , as well as the fact that Göde's grave slab in Wittenberg was cast by the Nuremberg sculptor Peter Vischer , indicate the relationships that existed at the beginning of the 15th century.

The ridge is designated as a ground monument with D-5-6330-0042 : "Fortification of prehistoric and prehistoric or medieval times" ; the area is used for agriculture and forestry.
