history
A document from 1615 shows that Herrmannsacker already existed in 1253, and before the place became independent, it was evidently connected with the village of Vockenrode. Herrmannsacker and Vockenrode were initially under the rule of the builder of the Ebersburg , Landgrave Herrmann of Thuringia . Herrmannsacker certainly owes its name to Landgrave Herrmann. The place was and is characterized by agriculture. Even in the days of the GDR, a bungalow complex made use of the charm of the beautiful surroundings. After the political change, tourism experienced a boost and equestrian sport became interesting again.
On July 6, 2018, Herrmannsacker was incorporated into the Harztor community.
