The castle Lehnberg was in the district Herrmannsacker in the district of Nordhausen in Thuringia . There are hardly any traces left of the abandoned hilltop castle or the ramparts .

The castle wall on the Lehnberg is a small moat 440 meters above sea level on a hill in front of the Lehnberg , 200 meters from Schadewald Castle and 1700 meters north of Herrmannsacker and is separated by a depression . Its history is closely linked to Schadewald Castle. It belongs to the Allzunah castles .
