The moated castle Ebersbrunn , also called Insel, Wohl, Wal , is a lost moated castle in the middle of the district Ebersbrunn of the municipality Lichtentanne in the district of Zwickau in Saxony .
1303 a Cunradus de Alvolsburn is mentioned in a document . Based on this, it is assumed that a medieval moated castle complex of approx. 16 × 12 meters in size already existed on the Pleiße . Today's Burgstall (castle site) of the former water castle only shows the castle hill and a moat .
