Erich Wild

Erich Wild (born November 4, 1895 in Markneukirchen ; † October 27, 1964 there ) was a local researcher in the Saxon Vogtland .

Life

Wild worked as a teacher at the school in Markneukirchen from 1919 to 1934. From 1922 to 1933 he was an SPD city ​​councilor and temporarily chairman of the parliamentary group. In 1934 he was transferred to Wilkau-Haßlau as a teacher due to political measures , and in 1950 he was dismissed from school for political reasons. After that he dealt exclusively with researching the local history of the Vogtland region. In 1954 he was given the management of the Musical Instrument Museum in Markneukirchen, which he held for ten years until his death.
