The Wasserburg Untermünkheim is a moated castle near the municipality of Untermünkheim in the Schwäbisch Hall district in Baden-Württemberg .
The Motte (tower hill castle) with cellar was probably built by the Lords of Münkheim to monitor a ford over the cooker . The castle was mentioned in 1216 and destroyed before the 15th century. In 1564 a bridge was built at the place of the ford, at that time the castle was already in ruins . Today the castle stable still shows the castle hill and moat .
