Ottendorf Castle

The castle Ottendorf is an Outbound castle in the district of the city Ottendorf Gaildorf in Schwäbisch Hall ( Baden-Wuerttemberg ).

Presumably the castle was built by the documented local nobility of Ottendorf. After its extinction in 1399, the heirs sold the complex with goods and rights to the Murrhardt monastery and the Limpurg taverns . From 1439 the castle belonged to the Murrhardt monastery, one third each to the county of Limpurg and the Lords of Münkheim. It was uninhabited from 1523 and passed away in 1582.
