Rhode is a district of the borough Lutter am Barenberge in the district of Goslar , Lower Saxony. The hamlet consists of only about a dozen buildings.

Rhode is located in the northwestern Harz foreland at about 170 meters above sea level. NN. Two and a half kilometers north is the center of Lutter am Barenberge. Nauen is about one and a half kilometers northwest of Rhode. Hahausen , to the southwest, is three and a half kilometers away.

Castle hill of Kahlenberg Castle

In the 11th and 12th centuries, Rhode was home to Kahlenberg Castle, a hilltop castle, also known as the Motte . Today only the castle hill with the moat remains.
