With 25.9 hectares of municipal area and around 770 inhabitants, Trohe is the smallest district of the municipality of Buseck in the central Hessian district of Gießen .
Geographical location
The place is traversed by the Wieseck and borders in the north on Alten-Buseck , in the east on Großen-Buseck , in the south on the Gießen district Rödgen and in the west on Wieseck (also to Gießen). The extremely small area is almost completely built on. In the north and east, the development was extended to the district of Alten-Buseck.
history
The existence of the place can be indirectly traced back to the year 1210 by naming the de Traha family . In 1340 Trohe had its own court without additional villages, about the origin of which nothing is known.
The statistical-topographical-historical description of the Grand Duchy of Hesse reports about Trohe in 1830:
"Trohe (L. Bez. Giessen) evangel. Branch village; is 1 1 / 4 St. Giessen at the Wieseck, has 24 houses and 145 Protestant inhabitants. The place has 2 grinding mills, with which 1 fulling mill is connected. - A family named by this place (often also written by Drahe) belonged to the Busecker Ganerbe, and in 1233 a Eberwin von Trohe appears. This family decided in 1641 with Philipp Heinrich von Trohe, the man tribe. Trohe therefore probably originally belonged to the Busecker Thal, and by relapse it deviated from it. "
Trohe became known nationwide through the Troher Christmas Lights , which have been held six times since 1999 , and which were originally devised by CURSOR Software AG as a marketing tool for the IPO. The village called itself the "World Capital of Christmas Lights" and donated the proceeds to a good cause. The campaign took place for the last time in 2007.
Territorial reform
As part of the regional reform in Hesse , the municipality of Trohe was incorporated on a voluntary basis into the municipality of Großen-Buseck on October 1, 1971, which in turn was incorporated on January 1, 1977 by the law to reorganize the Dill district, the districts of Gießen and Wetzlar and the city of Gießen was merged with the communities of Beuern and Alten-Buseck to form the community of Buseck. For a Trohe as for each district local district with the town council and mayor set up. The local district includes the district Trohe as well as the residential development of the district Alten-Buseck adjoining the district boundary.

Courts since 1803
In the Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt , the judicial system was reorganized in an executive order of December 9, 1803. The “Hofgericht Gießen” was set up as a court of second instance for the province of Upper Hesse . The jurisdiction of the first instance was carried out by the offices or registry lords and thus the "Stadtamt Gießen" was responsible for Trohe. The court court was the second instance court for normal civil disputes, and the first instance for civil family law cases and criminal cases. The superior court of appeal in Darmstadt was superordinate .
With the establishment of the Grand Duchy of Hesse in 1806, this function was retained, while the tasks of the first instance were transferred to the newly created regional and city courts in 1821 as part of the separation of jurisdiction and administration. " Landgericht Gießen " was therefore the name of the court of first instance that was responsible for Trohe from 1821 to 1879.
On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the previous regional and city courts in the Grand Duchy of Hesse were repealed and replaced by local courts in the same place, as was the case with the higher courts, whose function was now taken over by the newly established regional courts. The districts of the city and regional court of Gießen were merged and now, together with the towns of Allertshausen and Climbach , which previously belonged to the district court of Grünberg, formed the district of the newly created district court of Gießen, which has since been part of the district of the newly established regional court of Gießen . Between January 1, 1977 and August 1, 1979, the court was called "District Court Lahn-Gießen", which was renamed "District Court Gießen" when the city of Lahn was dissolved. In the Federal Republic of Germany, the superordinate instances of the District Court of Gießen, the Regional Court of Gießen , the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main and the Federal Court of Justice are the last instance.
