history
The municipality of Buseck was created in the course of the regional reform in Hesse on January 1, 1977 by law from the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Alten-Buseck, Beuern and Großen-Buseck. On October 1, 1971, the municipalities of Trohe and Oppenrod were incorporated into the municipality of Großen-Buseck on a voluntary basis. Local districts were formed for all formerly independent communities.
The following districts belong to the municipality of Buseck (number of residents with main residence as of December 31, 2019 according to the residents' registration office / mayor):
Grossen-Buseck | 1,608 ha | 5,510 inhabitants |
Alten-Buseck | 970 ha | 3,713 inhabitants |
Beuern | 966 ha | 1,971 inhabitants |
Oppenrod | 320 ha | 987 inhabitants |
Trohe | 23 hectares | 764 inhabitants |
.
The Busecker districts (with the exception of Trohe) belonged to the Busecker Tal , a region that emerged in the middle of the 14th century. It was administered in inheritance from the families v. Buseck and v. Trohe . The castle goes back to a founding of the family v. Trohe back. The castle is mentioned for the first time in 1458 in a feudal letter.
