Laudert is a municipality in the Rhein-Hunsrück district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Hunsrück-Mittelrhein community .
location
Laudert is located in the eastern part of the Hunsrück in the basin of the Simmerbach . The federal motorway 61 (junction Laudert) passes the village 500 m away. In the village the Rhein-Mosel-Straße (here as L 217) Treis - Oberwesel and the L 214 Bingen am Rhein - Emmelshausen ( Koblenz ) intersect, which has lost its former importance due to the parallel motorway. Both roads are considered to be ancient Roman regional roads.
history
Laudert is, also by name, a settlement from the medieval clearing period, which was completed by 1200 at the latest.
Laudert is first mentioned as Ludinroit in 1275 when it was awarded in a treaty to the Knights of Milwalt , who took him as a fief from the Elector of Trier in the 14th century . The place was divided into two parts by the Simmerbach, which belonged to different rulers. The Hunsrück side was with a few houses in the Palatinate area , the side facing the Rhine was under Kurtrier rule. It is not yet known when this division happened. The brook was the border until south of Kisselbach , which was also divided. In 1410 the part of the Palatinate was defeated to the newly created Principality of Simmern , from 1673 it came back to the Electoral Palatinate .
After the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine by French revolutionary troops (1794), the place belonged to the First French Republic (1799–1804) and the First French Empire (1804–1814) from 1798 to 1814 . During the French era it belonged to the Mairie Pfalzfeld in the canton of Sankt Goar , which belonged to the Department de Rhin-et-Moselle .
In 1815 he was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna . Under the Prussian administration, the two communities Trierisch Laudert and Pfälzisch Laudert belonged to the mayor's office Pfalzfeld (renamed to Amt Pfalzfeld in 1927 ) in the newly formed district of Sankt Goar in the administrative district of Koblenz and from 1822 to the Rhine province . In 1858 Trierisch Laudert had 198 inhabitants and Palatinate Laudert 187 inhabitants. The official union of Palatinate and Trierisch Laudert took place on August 1, 1934. Since 1946 the place has been part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
With the functional and territorial reform in Rhineland-Palatinate and the associated new municipal regulations, the Pfalzfeld office was initially converted into the Pfalzfeld Association . Simultaneously with its dissolution, the municipality of Laudert was assigned to the Verbandsgemeinde Oberwesel on November 7, 1970, and when it merged with Sankt Goar on April 22, 1972, it was assigned to the Sankt Goar-Oberwesel municipality .
