Altweidelbach is a municipality in the Rhein-Hunsrück district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Simmern-Rheinböllen community .
geography
Altweidelbach is located in a hollow north of the Soonwald and the federal highway 50 .
Altweidelbach to include the residential spaces (also called Eselmühle) Hammesmühle and Weirichsmühle (cats Locher mill), both on Simmersbach located. The neighboring towns include: Wahlbach , Argenthal , Pleizenhausen , Simmern and Mutt Various .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1006 as Widimbach . Between 1410 and 1598 and 1610 and 1673 Altweidelbach belonged to the Palatinate part-duchy of Pfalz-Simmern , between 1598 and 1610 and from 1673 to the Electoral Palatinate .
With the occupation of the Left Bank of the Rhine in 1794 by French revolutionary troops , the place became French, in 1815 it was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna . Since 1946 the place has been part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate .

Wind energy
Southeast of the municipality was the wind farm Altweidelbach seven wind turbines of the manufacturer Fuhrländer . This wind farm was completely dismantled in 2013. A wind farm with four turbines from the manufacturer Enercon is being planned.
