Budenbach is a municipality in the Rhein-Hunsrück district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Simmern-Rheinböllen community .
geography
Budenbach is centrally located in the Hunsrück , in the upper Simmerbachtal . The place itself is traversed by the Klingelbach. The state road 220 runs through Budenbach, and the district road 41 begins in the village and leads to Laudert, six kilometers away .
history
There are finds from the Roman period in Budenbach. It was first mentioned in a document in 1293.
The place was owned by Pfalz-Simmern and from 1673 by Electoral Palatinate .
After the Left Bank of the Rhine was occupied by French revolutionary troops in 1794 , the place became French and from 1798 to 1814 belonged to the canton of Simmern in the Rhine-Mosel department . Due to the agreements made at the Congress of Vienna , he was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia in 1815. Since 1946 the place has been part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
