The tower hill Rüssenbach is a lost moated castle of the type of a tower hill castle (Motte) on the northern edge of Rüssenbach , a district of the market Ebermannstadt in the district of Forchheim in Bavaria .
The castle, mentioned in 1129 and destroyed in the Peasants' War in 1525 , was the ancestral seat of the von Rüssenbach family ; later it came to the Stiebar von Buttenheim .
Nothing has survived from the former moth .
