The Burgstall Thüngfelderstein , also known as Eberhardstein Castle , describes an abandoned hilltop castle on a rock near Morschreuth , a district of the market town of Gößweinstein in the Forchheim district in Bavaria .

The castle was built in the 12th century by the Lords of Thüngfeld , in 1154 a "Eberjard von Thüngfeld" is mentioned.

A moat has been preserved from the former tower castle .
