The rampart Heidelberg is an Outbound prehistoric and early and early medieval ring wall on the 548 m above sea level. NHN high Heidelberg northeast of Äpfelbach , a district of the market town of Egloffstein in the Forchheim district in Bavaria .
Remnants of walls and moats are still preserved from the former two-part ring wall system .
