The Burgstall Alter Schlossberg is located on a plateau-shaped hilltop, the so-called "Schlossberg", about 500 meters southeast of Burggocketreuth , a district of Ebermannstadt in the Forchheim district in Bavaria .

On the medieval castle stables of a spur castle , of which small remains of ramparts are evidence, there used to be a ring rampart, presumably from the late Hallstatt and early La Tène periods .
