The Postal Massenhausen is an Outbound medieval motte (Motte) west of the Church of Massenhausen , in the municipality of Freising in the district of Freising in Bavaria .

The castle, mentioned in 1130, was probably built by the lords of Massenhausen , whose noble family rose to become the most distinguished Bavarian tournament aristocracy in the course of the 13th century.

In 1431 Hans Frauenberger zu Haag and in 1499 the cathedral monastery Freising are named as owners. In the course of the Thirty Years' War (1618–48) the castle was destroyed and demolished in 1804.

From the ever recognizable Motte plant are still trenches preserved.
