description
The former four- hectare facility with outer bailey is now completely made up of trees. The multiple, ring-shaped earth walls that secured the fortress in addition to the steep slopes in the west and south are clearly visible . In many cases the trenches in front of the ramparts are still visible. Today both are broken through in several places by a dirt road. The early medieval fortifications probably consisted of ramparts with palisades and trenches. In the 10th century, the population of the region hoped for protection from the wandering Hungarians .
