Castle Isareck is at Wang on the steep slopes of the Isar located castle near the confluence of Isar and Amper .

history

The office or rule of Isareck probably came to the Wittelsbachers via the Counts of Moosburg . The present castle was built between 1559 and 1570 by the Moosburg master builder Asmus Hälmayr for Duke Albrecht V as a four-wing complex . After a fire in 1648, the castle was rebuilt in 1664. The castle was renewed from 1775 to 1777. In 1803 the south-eastern half was demolished. The castle has been owned by the Counts La Rosée since 1824 . Today only the three-storey north-east wing with the portal and a castle tower with a baroque onion dome and the farm buildings exist.

The palace complex has been the scene of filming for television series several times.

The current lords of the castle are the couple Felix Count Basselet de la Rosée and Charlotte Countess von Thurn and Valsassina-Como-Vercelli.

The St 2045 and the Munich – Regensburg railway line run south of the palace .
