Joachim "Kim" Merz (born February 2, 1953 ) is a German pop singer.
biography
After completing his training and working as a typesetter, Merz was the singer of the band Wallenstein from 1978 to 1982 . In 1983 he got a solo record deal and made her debut with the single strong lousy , engaged in the airplay - charts could place. In the same year he had a hit with the hit The guy next to her . The title was represented in the German single charts for 18 weeks , where it reached number 21.
The guy next to her is the German version of the song Just to Walk That Little Girl Home , written by Willy DeVille and Doc Pomus and first published on the LP Le Chat Bleu (1980) by the band Mink DeVille .
Merz is also active as a songwriter for other interpreters: Among other things, the text of Wolfgang Petry's best-known hit Wahnsinn comes from his pen.
