history

The place is one of the oldest settlements in the mouth of the Isar , the foundation goes back to the 6/7. Century back. The name Leichilinga was first recorded in a document in 868. At that time, King Ludwig the German gave Metten monastery forty days of arable land and the associated meadows. When the tax districts were formed in 1808/1811, the Lailling tax district was created, but when the community was formed in 1818/1821, the village of Lailling became part of the Wallersdorf community in the Landau district court. It originally belonged to the district office or district of Landau an der Isar and came to the district of Deggendorf in 1972 as part of the regional reform . On May 1, 1978, it was incorporated into the Otzing community . In 1987 Lailling had 276 inhabitants. Lailling has been a church branch of Otzing since 1870.
