Prebitz is a municipality in the Bayreuth district ( Upper Franconia administrative district ) and a member of the Creußen administrative community .

The place Almosbachmühle is part of the Losau municipality. There is only the Prebitz district , which also includes parts of the neighboring municipality of Speichersdorf.

Until the church is planted

As part of the Prussian Principality of Bayreuth since 1792 , Prebitz was part of the Franconian Empire from 1500 . It fell to France in the Peace of Tilsit in 1807 and became part of Bavaria in 1810.

Outsourcing

On May 1, 1978 parts of the area with the town of Frankenberg were assigned to the municipality of Speichersdorf .

On May 1, 2008, Hans Freiberger (Free Community of Voters Engelmannsreuth and the surrounding area) was elected mayor. He was confirmed in office in 2014 with 70.3%. His predecessor was Hans Engelbrecht (Free Association of Voters), who had been in office since August 11, 1963 and was most recently the senior mayor of Bavaria.

Economy including agriculture and forestry

In 1998, according to official statistics, there were no employees at the place of work in the manufacturing sector 37 or in the trade and transport sector. There were 353 employees subject to social security contributions at the place of residence. There were four in the manufacturing sector and one in the construction sector. In addition, in 1999 there were 46 farms with an agricultural area of 1371 hectares, of which 879 hectares were arable land.
