The community-free area Glashüttener Forst is in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth .

Rest area at the Zoggenbrunnen

The 4.77 km² large state forest is located between Glashütten , Hummeltal , Lindenhardter Forst-Nordwest , Ahorntal and Langweiler Wald . The area is completely forested . The highest point is at 562  m above sea level. NHN der Schleifberg ( 49 ° 52 ′ 16.1 ″  N , 11 ° 28 ′ 49.4 ″  E ). In the area there is the 1.35 ha large exclave old sky , which is a district of glassworks.
