Lindenhardter Forest Northwest
The former community-free area Lindenhardter Forst-Nordwest is located in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth .
The 8.31 km² state forest is located between Gesees , Lindenhardter Forst-Südost , Creußen , Hummeltal and Glashüttener Forst . The area is completely forested . The highest point is at 596 m above sea level. NHN der Tannenberg ( 49 ° 51 ′ 34.31 ″ N , 11 ° 32 ′ 12.91 ″ E ). The A9 motorway runs through the area.
The former community-free area was dissolved on January 1, 2020 (as was the neighboring Lindenhardter Forst-Südost) and transferred to the communities of Gesees (54 ha ), Hummeltal (350 ha) and Haag (259 ha) as well as the city of Creußen (168 ha ) distributed.
The source of the Püttlach , which flows through the Püttlachweiher after around 100 meters, is located on the part of the Hummeltal community .
The fact that there was not a municipality-free area Lindenhardter Forst , but two separate and contiguous areas -Northwest and -Southeast , is justified by the district structure of Bavaria , which existed until June 30, 1972 , according to which the border between the two areas was also the district boundary between the former District Pegnitz (southeast) and the Altlandkreis Bayreuth (northwest) was.
