history

Until the church is planted

The ruins of Reichenstein Castle are located in the municipality . In the 11th / 12th The reclamation took place in the 19th century. 1363 a separate parish is proven. Stadlern belonged to the Amberg Rent Office and the Murach Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . The origin of the pilgrimage to “Our Lady” in Stadlern is not known. Stadlern became known in the Bohemian Forest through his image of grace "Our dear lady burned from the earth". For centuries people have made pilgrimages to Stadlern with their concerns about the image of grace. The feast of the patronage is August 15th, the Assumption of Mary into heaven. The Church of the Assumption of Mary is a Gothic building and dates from the 14th century.
